**Pediatric/Newborn Hospitalist Opening in Southwest, MI**
- Located in Southwest Michigan
- The position includes coverage at two Level I newborn nurseries located in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek
- BE/BC
- Full-time; Permanent position
**Overview**
- Primarily a Newborn Hospitalist role with part-time coverage with the Pediatric Hospitalist service line
- Responsibilities include attendance at high risk deliveries, newborn stabilization and assessment, daily rounding and management of stable newborns, supervising Advanced Practice Providers and training residents and medical students
- Maintenance of CPR and NRP are also required
- The Pediatric Medicine Hospital Specialists consists of 10 Pediatric Hospitalists. Clinical responsibilities include general pediatric inpatient care and sedation services. Educational responsibilities include; clinical teaching of pediatric, family medicine and emergency medicine residents with 24/7 resident coverage
- Academic affiliations as well as research opportunities are available
- Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide
