## Pediatric Hospitalist opening | Reno, NV Northern Nevada — Level II Trauma Center with Academic Affiliation ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: 30-bed inpatient pediatric unit — Level II Trauma Center * Average daily census: 16–18 patients * Weekends: Likely required as part of hospitalist schedule * Residency within the immediate local area required — relocation may be required * Not accepting visa or locums candidates ## Practice Overview Seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalist to join a well-established, collaborative pediatric care team serving northern Nevada and northeastern California: * Provide pediatric inpatient ward coverage on a 30-bed unit * Perform newborn nursery examinations * Conduct Emergency Department pediatric consultations * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including subspecialists and intensivists * Work closely with a 16-bed PICU staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivists * Participate in teaching and education of pediatric residents and medical students * Academic affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine * High-quality, patient-centered care in a Level II Trauma Center ## Compensation & Benefits * Base salary range: $190,000–$230,000 based on years of experience and training * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Life and disability coverage * Healthcare FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and HSA options * 401(k) retirement plan * Employee Stock Purchase Program * Access to voluntary benefits via payroll deduction * No state income tax in Nevada * Supportive employer culture focused on employee well-being and work-life balance * Relocation assistance if applicable ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics — required * Active Nevada medical license or willingness to obtain — required * DEA — required, must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions * CSR/CDS — required, must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions * Clean malpractice and medical license history — highly preferred * NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days — required, no exemptions * Willingness to relocate or current residence in the area — must be noted at submission ## About the Community – Reno, Nevada * Vibrant and rapidly growing city known as "The Biggest Little City in the World" * No state income tax in Nevada * World-class outdoor recreation including skiing at Lake Tahoe, hiking, mountain biking, and fishing * Thriving arts, dining, and cultural scene with a lively downtown * Affordable cost of living compared to other Western metros * Home to the University of Nevada, Reno * Reno-Tahoe International Airport offering convenient domestic and international connections
