📅 Assignment Details:

• Start Date: June 19, 2026
• End Date: October 19, 2026
• Schedule: Call-only coverage (no clinic or office duties)
• Primary coverage: Thursdays 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend coverage: 1 in 4 weekends (starting Thursday 5:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM)
• 30-minute callback expectation

🏥 Practice Setting:

• Hospital-based pediatric and newborn coverage
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Support for inpatient pediatrics and emergency department consults
• Coverage includes newborn nursery and pediatric emergencies

👶 Your Role:

• Provide newborn nursery care and support routine deliveries
• Participate in high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation when needed
• Manage pediatric inpatient consults and emergency department cases
• Respond to pager calls from postpartum, nursing staff, and ED teams
• Stabilize patients for NICU transfer when required

📊 Clinical Scope:

• Average overnight calls: 0–5 per shift
• Low admission volume (1–2 annually per provider on average)
• Facility averages 200+ deliveries annually requiring pediatric presence
• Participation in pediatric codes as needed

📌 Requirements:

• Active Vermont medical license (required)
• Board Certified Pediatrician (MD required)
• Strong experience in inpatient pediatrics and newborn care
• Comfort managing independent call responsibilities in a rural hospital setting
