Position Overview
One of our Partners is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a high-volume pediatric hospital.
This assignment offers weekday-only scheduling with no call or weekends, a collaborative anesthesia care team, and a diverse pediatric case mix with the ability to scale complexity based on experience and comfort level.
Assignment Highlights
- Monday–Friday schedule (7a–3p or 7a–5p)
- No call and no weekend requirements
- Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center
- 11 operating rooms
- ~800 cases per month
- Care team model: CRNA (2): MD (1)
- Supervision: ~50/50 medical direction and solo coverage
- EMR: Epic
- Progressive case complexity based on provider comfort
- Travel & lodging provided (per client guidelines)
- Malpractice insurance covered
- HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency
Job Responsibilities
- Provide pediatric anesthesia services across a range of surgical specialties
- Manage anesthesia for both routine and higher-acuity pediatric cases
- Collaborate with CRNAs in a care team model
- Perform pre-operative evaluations and post-anesthesia care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
