Pediatric Physician – Locum Tenens Opportunity

A well-established outpatient pediatric clinic is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to provide full-time locum tenens coverage in a busy community-based practice. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric patient population.

Schedule

• Workdays: Monday – Friday

• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care including routine wellness visits, sick visits, and follow-up care

• Manage an average of approximately 25 patients per day

• Deliver patient-centered care to a high-demand community clinic

• Work collaboratively with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Patient Population

The clinic serves a socioeconomically diverse community with high demand for pediatric services. Due to a higher-than-average no-show rate, appointment schedules are structured to maintain steady patient flow throughout the day.

Requirements

• Active California medical license

• Active California DEA

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years of residency)

• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Spanish-speaking / bilingual providers strongly preferred
