Job description
Job Description:
When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”
About this Role
This Advanced Practice Provider will join our Pediatric Liver Surgery/ hepatopancreatobiliary (HBP)/ Liver/Kidney Transplant team at Primary Children's Hospital, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our Liver Disease and Transplantation Program provides comprehensive care for children with liver and kidney disease from diagnosis through transplantation and follow-up care. Our program has the largest volume in the Rocky Mountain West, providing liver and kidney care to patients from more than 6 Western states, nationally, and internationally.
Our liver program was established in 1996 and the kidney program was established in 1977. They are run by experienced APPs and surgeons who actively participate in national research programs and initiatives. We share in the Primary Children's philosophy of “The Child First and Always."
We perform 15-21 liver transplants and 12-18 kidney transplants per year. We are a collaboration between Primary Children's Hospital, University of Utah, and Intermountain Medical Center. This collaboration affords families the benefits of consultation provided by a large group of experts in the field of HPB, liver and kidney transplantation while maintaining the personal nature of the care provided. In addition to standard whole liver transplantation, our program performs split liver transplantation and living donor liver transplantation as well as paired exchange and living donor kidney transplantation.
As an APP with us, your focus will primarily be in the inpatient setting, with some outpatient clinic and minimal time surgically assisting in the OR. This may evolve as our volume of transplants increases and we further develop our outpatient clinic.
This is a full-time opportunity, working approximately 40 hours per week including some holidays, nights, and weekends.

We care about your well-being which is why we provide our caregivers a generous benefits package. In addition, we offer paid time off, license reimbursement, malpractice insurance coverage, and an annual CME allowance to support your continuous growth and development.
