Pediatric opportunity in Central California less than 2 hours to the Bay Area. This is a rural health clinic where you will join two other physicians in a very established practice where both practicing providers have been there for over 10 years. There will be a moderate patient volume, reasonable call schedule and competitive pay with very attractive sign on bonus and loan repayment provided.
Salary $249,000 with extra earnings available. Extra earnings available through taking additional call, seeing a higher volume of patients and patients being seen in the hospital.. $60,000 per year for loan repayment up to $300,000 total. Relocation up to $20,000 depending on where they are relocating from. Sign on bonus of $75,000. Full malpractice coverage, including tail coverage.. The provider is responsible for making 7 calls per month. (Additional calls are compensated at $700 per call ~ extra 20 k if picked 3 more calls a month. The clinic schedule is 5 hours when the provider is on call). The clinic anticipates an average daily outpatient volume of 25 patients. (For each additional patient beyond this expectation, the provider will be compensated $40 per patient). The clinic will bill for all hospital patients seen by the provider. The provider will receive 60% of all billed charges for hospital encounters ~ $15-20 k. ( can be added to total salary if appealing more ). The provider's schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (40 hours per week). The clinic may permit changes to the schedule. On-call days include a 5-hour day.. The primary responsibility of the provider is to cover newborn nursery coverage, including attending emergency C-sections as requested by Obstetrics. The provider manages a Level I nursery with approximately 600-700 deliveries annually and an average newborn census of 2-5. The provider also provides phone consultations mainly to the local MHLB Emergency Room.. 20 days of vacation, 5 days of sick leave, 5 days of CME leave, and 5 days of holidays per year..
