Job description TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician or Family Medicine Physician to join a well-established FQHC outpatient clinic network in Sacramento, California. This permanent opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to medically underserved and socioeconomically diverse communities.

Multiple brick-and-mortar clinic locations plus a Mobile Medicine program

Schedule & Coverage
Schedule Options:
Five 8-hour days per week
Optional 4/10 schedule
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (or approved 4/10 schedule)
Lunch Break: One hour
Telehealth: Yes (two telehealth slots per day)
Weekend Rotation: Yes (Saturday rotation)
Providers may take a weekday off or elect additional compensation for Saturday coverage

Practice Environment
Typical patient volume: Approximately 3 patients per hour (20-minute visits)
Protected administrative time built into the schedule
Age range treated:
Pediatrics: Ages 0–19
Support staff: Medical Assistants, Care Coordinators, Front Office staff
Work style: Independent practice with strong interdisciplinary collaboration
Call responsibilities: Yes - Phone-only call approximately 2–3 weeks per year, depending on provider pool

Provider Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary care including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management
Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat conditions, prescribe medications, and order diagnostic testing
Coordinate specialty referrals and care transitions as clinically appropriate
Deliver patient and family education with a focus on culturally responsive care
Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and performance initiatives
Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation in Epic
Review and respond to labs, imaging, consults, and patient messages
Collaborate with and supervise APPs as applicable

Provider Requirements
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
Prior FQHC or community health experience required
Commitment to serving underserved populations
Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
Active DEA and CPR/BLS certification
Prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid required
Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary care model

Credentialing
Credentialing timeframe: 60–90 days
Credentialed with major payors and insurance carriers
