Are you a dedicated Pediatrician seeking a rewarding locum opportunity in North Dakota? We invite you to become a vital part of the healthcare team at St. Alexius Health Dickinson, providing exceptional pediatric care in a critical access hospital setting. In this role, you will be responsible for managing pediatric patients, attending deliveries and C-sections, performing neonatal procedures such as resuscitations, intubations, UVC placements, and circumcisions. You will work closely with nursing staff, obstetricians, anesthesiologists, respiratory therapists, and local pediatricians, ensuring seamless patient care. The facility features a Level II nursery, with comprehensive support from specialists and nearby NICU consultation in Bismarck, ND.

Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
- Valid medical license to practice in North Dakota
- Proven experience in pediatric inpatient and outpatient care
- Proficiency in neonatal resuscitation, intubation, UVC placement, and circumcisions
- Ability to work independently within a hospital setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in a critical access hospital environment
- prior experience working with Level II nursery settings
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
- Ability to perform emergent procedures efficiently under pressure
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- At least 1-2 years of pediatric hospitalist or general pediatric experience
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work during the second or third week of February with ongoing coverage
- Willingness to travel from your current location; preferred lodging arrangements include hotels
- Ability to obtain emergency privileges with credentialing completed promptly
- Willingness to work a 24-hour call schedule, including holidays as required
