Locum Tenens – Pediatrics
Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

Number of Positions: 2
Availability & Schedule (Key Details)
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- Coverage Model: 24-hour call
- Days per Month: 7 days per month
- Initial Need: Second or third week of February
- Ongoing Coverage: Yes, throughout 2026
- State License: North Dakota license or IMLC required
- Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible (highly preferred)
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
- Units Covered: Labor & Delivery / Pediatrics Unit / Level II Nursery
- EMR: Meditech
- Nursery Level: Level II
- Prefer not to deliver patients under 36 weeks if possible
- Nearest transfer center: Bismarck, ND (90 miles)
- Attend vaginal deliveries if requested
- Attend all scheduled and emergent C-sections
- Admit and discharge newborns
- Admit and manage pediatric patients
- Perform circumcisions
- Circumcisions
- Newborn resuscitation
- Intubations
- Umbilical venous catheter (UVC) placement
- Lumbar punctures
- Average Census: 2–3 patients per day
- Nursing team with Level II nursery nurses
- Anesthesia and OB/GYN support
- Respiratory Therapists
- Local pediatricians for consults
- NICU support available in Bismarck with consulting physicians
