Job description
Our client is seeking an experienced bilingual Pediatrician for a part-time locums assignment supporting its Pediatric Unit. This program serves as the designated medical home for approximately 300 children in family foster care throughout Westchester County.

Job Responsibilities
Deliver care in accordance with NYS Working Together guidelines and AAP standards
Conduct pediatric evaluations and review medical histories and records
Refer patients to specialty services and follow up on treatment recommendations
Perform procedures and interpret laboratory results as needed
Respond to clinical phone inquiries during office hours and scheduled on-call coverage (nights/weekends/holidays)
Complete required medical forms and reports for patients and DSS staff
Educate patients, foster families, DSS staff, and Pediatric Unit nursing staff
Develop educational materials and deliver presentations as needed
Conduct outreach to community agencies and DSS offices
Participate in discharge planning and board rate reviews
Track developmental screenings and submit required reports to the County Department of Health Early Intervention program
Contribute to Foster Care Discharge Review meetings
Qualifications
Board Certified in Pediatrics (ABP)
Active New York State medical license
DEA registration and current CPR certification
Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Experience working with child welfare populations or other vulnerable populations strongly preferred
Comfortable with EMR systems and clinical documentation
Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
