Required Skills:
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in the applicable state
- Proven experience managing neonatal intensive care, including Level 3 NICU settings
- Ability to work independently and effectively handle complex neonatal cases
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Supervision and coordination with neonatal nurse practitioners (NPs)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in community hospital NICUs
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary team coordination
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Experience with neonatal procedural skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship
- At least 1 year of recent NICU experience in a similar setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work one week per month, including 24-hour shifts
- Ability to provide supervision to NPs
- Willingness to participate in call coverage
- Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and ACLS
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
