Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide outpatient pediatric care, seeing 13–15 patients per day on call days and approximately 20 patients per day on non-call days
- Perform well-child checks, acute visits, and behavioral/ADHD management
- Care for newborns through 17-year-old patients
- Conduct 20- and 40-minute appointments
- Cover inpatient and nursery duties as required for call coverage
- Manage newborn nursery census of 1–5 babies per day
- Address rare inpatient pediatric admissions (0–1 per day, typically older adolescents)
- Attend deliveries as indicated by OB high-risk criteria or FBC staff
- Respond to after-hours “Mommy Calls” (average 0–10 per night, higher in winter months)
Additional Information
- Must be board certified in Pediatrics
- Active Oregon medical license required
- Must have completed at least 25 vaginal deliveries and 10 C-section assists within the past 24 months
- Recent experience in both clinic and hospital settings preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
- Must be comfortable attending deliveries per OB high-risk criteria
