The Opportunity:

  • Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend clinic hours
  • No call
  • No inpatient responsibilities – supported by a dedicated hospitalist team and 24/7 ER coverage
  • Directorship role - lead the development of Pediatric Services
  • Collaborative, collegial team of experienced physicians and NPs
  • Modern facilities with strong specialty support, advanced diagnostics, and a new long-term care center
  • Supportive administration and a well-run system

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $250,000 base salary plus RVU bonus (negotiable based on experience)
  • Generous sign-on bonus
  • Student loan repayment assistance
  • Paid relocation support
  • 7 weeks of earned PTO for true work-life balance
  • CME allowance + 5 CME days
  • Comprehensive health benefits – medical, dental, vision, and more
  • Professional liability insurance with full coverage

Why Northern Maine?

  • Escape the stress of urban medicine with a slower pace, strong patient relationships, and more time to enjoy life outside the clinic.
  • Outdoor Lifestyle in All Seasons
From cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in winter to hiking, fishing, and kayaking in summer, this area is ideal for active professionals.
  • Affordable, Safe, Family-Friendly Community
Low cost of living, excellent schools, and a safe, close-knit town make it ideal for raising a family or enjoying a peaceful lifestyle.
  • Strong Medical and Academic Partnerships
Opportunities to collaborate with local clinics and hospitals, teach or mentor through the University of Maine at Fort Kent, and engage with public health in a rural setting.
  • Culturally Rich, Beautiful Location
Enjoy a unique blend of Acadian culture, bilingual community life, and picturesque natural surroundings—all while practicing meaningful rural medicine.
