Job description
Job description
In Oklahoma Metro, a children's hospital is looking for a Pediatric Rheumatologist to join a rebuilding and expanding program with clear momentum and committed leadership.
You'll partner with a dedicated Section Chief and a collaborative Department of Pediatrics that's focused on strengthening care access for children and families across the region.
The team includes engaged APPs, clinical staff, and referral partners already working to build a sustainable, connected, and high-impact pediatric specialty service line.
This role offers the rare mix of purpose + runway the freedom to grow your clinical and academic footprint, backed by a healthcare system that's actually investing in the infrastructure to support it.
What this really means for you:
You're not walking into a stalled program. You're walking into a build. One with support, strategy, and room for your voice to shape it.
Opportunity:
• Pediatric-focused academic role with teaching and mentorship at the center
• Flexibility to explore research or program development aligned to your interests
• Established multi-specialty collaboration, including active joint clinics with nephrology and plans to broaden specialty partnerships
• Competitive compensation structure and benefits worth a direct conversation
• Epic EMR for continuity of care
• Real community feel with access to major cities, airports, and quick drives south to Dallas when you need to reset
Community:
• Big-city amenities with Midwest warmth in Oklahoma Metro
• Affordable living without the endless commute
• Strong school systems, community roots, and a growing food scene worth exploring
• Travel made easy with nonstop airport access
• Dallas close enough to still feel like your second backyard
If this aligns with what you're looking for next, let's connect.
