Job description We are seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This role starts on Jan 5, 2026, and spans 120 days, offering both day and night pediatric CVICU shifts. The ideal candidate will have board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care, along with fellowship training or extensive experience in pediatric cardiac critical care.

  • Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Physician
  • Schedule:
  • Pediatric CVICU Day: Monday–Friday 7am–6pm, Saturday & Sunday 7am–8pm; 5–7 consecutive shifts
  • Pediatric CVICU Night: Monday–Friday 5pm–8am, Saturday & Sunday 7pm–8am; up to 4 consecutive shifts

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage non-invasive ventilation for neonates, including neo-puff
  • Oversee ventilation management for newborns and acute cases
  • Perform invasive ventilation management (endotracheal tube, nasotracheal tube, tracheostomy)
  • Provide high-level pediatric cardiac critical care in a CVICU setting

Additional Information
  • Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care or 10+ years of dedicated experience required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
  • Must hold an active Louisiana license or qualify through IMLC
