Job/Practice Description:
- Join a cohesive team of Pediatric Intensivists supporting a 10-bed PICU in a dedicated children’s hospital
- Flexible scheduling: approximately 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, designed collaboratively with the physician team
- Responsibilities include PICU consults, admissions, procedures, and management of critically ill pediatric patients
- Strong subspecialty support, including: (Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Endocrinology)
- Participation in academic and teaching activities through the affiliated medical school
- Supportive leadership and a hospital culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in patient care
- Over 4,000 pediatric admissions annually
- Dedicated pediatric emergency department and Level III NICU
- State-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for children and families
- Member of the Children’s Hospital Association
- Offers child life services, advanced pediatric imaging, and a family-centered care environment
- Hospital-employed position
Requirements:
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents
- Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
