Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist | Part Time | Residential | Hybrid Located in Austin, TX. Overview: We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a well-established residential treatment program located just 20 minutes outside of Austin, TX. Nestled on a 50-acre gated ranch, the program offers a serene, therapeutic environment that supports healing for adolescents aged 12–17 years. This part-time role (approximately 20 hours/week) is ideal for a psychiatrist looking to make a meaningful impact with a manageable caseload, structured support, and consistent scheduling. Key Responsibilities: Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations for all new intakes within 24 hours of admission (telehealth permitted on off-days and weekends) Provide weekly psychiatric follow-ups for all residents Participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment team meetings (Wednesdays, 2–4 PM Central – must attend in person) Collaborate with a full clinical team including therapists, nurses, and case managers Provide on-call coverage (minimal call volume expected due to program size) Weekend intakes must be seen within 24 hours (telehealth acceptable if not scheduled onsite) Capacity: 19 residential beds Average Daily Census: 18 (with a steady waitlist) Average Length of Stay: 35 days Setting: Gated ranch with a main home, dormitory, and overflow living areas Patient Population: Adolescents, ages 12–17 Approx. 20 hours per week 2 days onsite per week, including Wednesdays for clinical meeting On-call coverage required (light call load due to small, stable census) Flexibility to manage intakes via telehealth when off-site Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain Prior experience in residential, inpatient, or acute adolescent care preferred Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
