Job Details

- Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a); coverage typically provided in 7-10 day blocks, variable based on scheduling needs
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage a patient population that is 100% pediatrics, from toddlers up to age 20
- Provide care for post-operative spine, cleft lip, and brachial plexus patients
- Independently perform central line placement and patient intubation, especially when Anesthesia is not on site over weekends
- Round on a PICU with 5 licensed beds and an average daily census of 2-3 patients
- Oversee patients with an average length of stay of approximately 2 days
- Adapt to a clinical environment without ECMO or CRRT capabilities
Additional Information
- Board certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required
- Active PA medical license required
- Must possess DEA and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Candidates should have a few years of post-fellowship experience
- Comfort with independent airway management and vascular access is essential
