Pediatrician Opportunity in Hancock, Michigan

This is an outpatient pediatric opportunity designed for physicians seeking a balanced practice, strong clinical support, and an active lifestyle. You'll join a close-knit pediatric team that values mentorship, continuity of care, and manageable patient volumes. The position offers excellent earning potential while practicing in a community surrounded by year-round outdoor recreation.


Practice Overview

  • You'll join a team of 5 Pediatricians and 2 Pediatric Nurse Practitioners with a strong mentorship culture
  • Outpatient-focused pediatrics with nurse practitioners handling first call and most neonatal matters
  • High-risk deliveries and cases under 36 weeks gestation are transferred out
  • Monthly group meetings for continued education and practice improvement


Schedule

  • Monday-Friday outpatient schedule with the option for four 10-hour days
  • Average patient volume of 13-16 patients per day with 30-minute appointments
  • Pediatricians cover second call only, with low overnight call volume
  • On average, one delivery per 24-hour call shift


Compensation & Benefits

  • Two-year guaranteed salary of $250,000
  • Additional on-call compensation averaging $40,000 annually
  • Total compensation expected between $300,000-$320,000
  • $65,000 sign-on bonus, 30 days PTO plus holidays, and full benefits with malpractice coverage


Candidate Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible Pediatrician
  • Open to both experienced physicians and new graduates
  • Comfortable practicing outpatient pediatrics with limited neonatal exposure
  • Interest in long-term community-based practice
