Job description
We are seeking 1-2 Board-Certified Pediatricians (or IM/FM with significant pediatric and neonatal experience) for locum 24-hour call coverage. Providers will manage newborn and pediatric inpatient care, perform neonatal resuscitation, and stabilize critical patients for transfer. No NICU or office call. Must be comfortable as solo provider with no back-up coverage.
Job Responsibilities
• Newborn care from OB
• Admission consults from ED
• Pediatric rounding and inpatient management (1–4 hrs/day)
• Neonatal stabilization and emergency procedures (resuscitation, intubation, etc.)
• 0–6 patients/day; ~1 admission/month
Qualifications
• Oregon License – Required
• Completion of 3-year Pediatric Residency – Required
• PALS & NRP Certifications – Required
• Clean malpractice/background preferred
• Minimum 24 inpatient pediatric cases in last 24 months
• Must be comfortable managing newborns independently
Working Hours
• Onsite hours: ~1–4 hrs/day
Skills
• Inpatient pediatric care for ages 0–18
• Ability to manage solo call without backup
• Excellent clinical judgment in emergency stabilization
