Locum Tenens – Pediatrician

🚗 Travel Covered (Up to $150/day) | 🏥 Clinic + OB/Newborn Coverage

A trusted healthcare facility in Bay City, MI is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatrician to provide temporary coverage during a provider vacation this fall. This opportunity involves outpatient clinic care and Level I nursery/OB newborn coverage—ideal for a well-rounded pediatrician looking for a short-term but impactful assignment.

Assignment Details:

• 📅 Schedule: 24 hour On call

• 🏥 Setting: Clinic + OB/Newborn (can be covered by one provider)

• 🧑‍⚕️ Patients/Deliveries: 1–2 deliveries/day on average

• 💻 EHR: Cerner

• 👩‍⚕️ Support Staff: Trained L&D nurses
  

Required Skills:

• Attendance at C-sections & high-risk deliveries

• Routine newborn care (Nursery Level I)

• Circumcisions

• Acute volume/BP management in newborns

Compensation & Travel:

• 🚗 Travel Reimbursement: Car/fuel/hotel expenses.
  

• 🧾 Malpractice and orientation included in rate

Requirements (Must be NOTED at Time of Name Clear):

✅ Board Certified Pediatrician (No BE)
✅ Active Michigan License & CSR – Required at submission (no IMLC accepted)
✅ Current BLS Certification
✅ Clean background for expedited credentialing – No exceptions
✅ DEA – Verbal confirmation at time of name clear
✅ COVID vaccination required
✅ Submit provider's rate and availability upfront
✅ Local candidates highly preferred
