- Board Certified or Board Eligible – REQUIRED
- NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS – REQUIRED
- Active North Dakota License – REQUIRED
- Clean Background & Malpractice History – REQUIRED
- Availability for May (7 Days) – REQUIRED
Job Responsibilities
Attend vaginal deliveries (if requested)
Attend scheduled and emergent C-sections
Admit and discharge newborns
Provide inpatient care for pediatric patients
Perform circumcisions
Perform newborn resuscitations, intubations, UVC placement
Perform lumbar punctures
Required Procedures:
Circumcisions
Newborn resuscitation / intubation / UVC placement
Lumbar punctures
Support Structure:
Level II nursery nursing team
Anesthesia team
OB/GYNs
Respiratory Therapists
Local pediatricians for consults
NICU access in Bismarck (90 miles away) at:
CHI St. Alexius Bismarck
Sanford Health Bismarck
Patient Volume:
Admissions/Patients per Day: Approximately 2–3
Types of Cases: Typical pediatric admissions, newborn care, and procedural support during deliveries
Qualifications
NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS – REQUIRED
Active North Dakota License – REQUIRED
Clean Background & Malpractice History – REQUIRED
Working Hours
End Date: October 2025
Call Schedule: 7 days per month, 24-hour call
Holiday Call: Included as needed, subject to holiday rate
Call Type: In-hospital or beeper (not specified—assume 24-hour call availability)
