We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our vibrant, family-oriented community hospital in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient pediatric care at a busy clinic setting, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and family satisfaction.
- Attend newborn deliveries, including assisting with C-sections, in a Level 1 nursery environment.
- Round on newborns, monitor their progress, and coordinate care with hospital staff.
- Participate in on-call rotations, with a maximum response time of 20 minutes, maintaining readiness to provide urgent care when necessary.
- Collaborate with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health providers, and lactation consultants to deliver comprehensive pediatric services.
- Ensure coverage of the hospital’s pediatric needs and participate in community engagement activities.
Position Highlights:
- Hospital-employed role in an independent, progressive community hospital with a collegial work environment.
- Four-day workweek allowing for excellent work-life balance.
- Single-hospital coverage with Level 1 nursery; approximately 400 births annually.
- Opportunity to practice in an area with no other pediatric providers within a 20+ mile radius.
- Transport of newborns to Nationwide Children’s Hospital or Dayton Children’s Hospital when specialized care is required.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (must be working toward Board Certification).
- Candidates with lapses in certification are not eligible.
- New graduates encouraged to apply; must demonstrate ongoing progress toward certification.
- Open to qualified visa candidates.
