This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive neurological care to children while engaging in teaching, research, and leadership within a vibrant community setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care for pediatric patients, including inpatient consultations and outpatient services.
- Participate actively in the development and growth of our pediatric residency program.
- Supervise and educate medical students and residents, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
- Contribute to the department’s academic and research initiatives, with time allocated for scholarly pursuits.
- Interpret EEGs and sleep studies (optional but preferred).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality pediatric care.
- Assume a leadership role for candidates with appropriate experience and interest.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology.
- Fellowship training in Neurology with a Special Qualification in Child Neurology preferred.
- Valid and active medical license in Michigan (or eligible to obtain).
- Current Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required.
- Demonstrated clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching and mentorship.
- Experience with EEG and sleep studies interpretation is an advantage.
- Open to candidates at the assistant or associate professor levels; all ranks considered.
- Leadership and academic experience are desirable.
