Legacy Community Health is a premium, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive care to community members regardless of their ability to pay. Our goal is to treat the entire patient while improving their overall wellness and quality of life, in addition to providing free pregnancy tests, HIV/AIDS screening. At Legacy, we empower patients to lead better lives by promoting healthy behaviors and offering resources such as literacy classes, family planning services, and nutrition and weight management information.

Our roots began in 1981 as the Montrose Clinic, with specialization in HIV education, testing, and treatment. Since then, the agency has expanded to >50 clinics in Houston, one in Baytown, 3 in Beaumont, and one in Deer Park with extensive services that include: Adult primary care, HIV/AIDS care, pediatrics, OB/GYN and maternity, dental, vision and behavioral health. Job Responsibilities

Perform assessments and provide treatment to clients of the clinic.

Keep scheduled hours for, work hours to remain flexible according to the needs of clinic expansion.

Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set forth by the Medical Director of Pediatrics.

Follow clinical diagnostic and evidence based treatment protocols for pediatric treatment.

Remain available by phone during regularly schedule hours should assistance be required.

Assist in the review and development of patient education material and practice guidelines

Provide supervision of health care students assigned to the clinic for educational purposes.

Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.

Supervision of non-physician providers, including Licensed Therapists, Certified Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Physicians Assistants with respect to pediatric treatment.

Attend staff meetings and committees as directed and punctually.

Participates in the Performance Improvement Program

Participate in on call rotation for afterhours and weekend coverage for department

Qualifications

Medical Doctorate with current licensure, MD, DO
Board certified in Pediatrics.
