- Work Dates Needed: Starting January 2024 - Seeking 3 candidates
- Preferred Schedule: Current schedule: (24hr): 7a-7p in house / 7p-7a call from hotel; Moving towards 12hr shifts by April: (7a-7p days) or 7p-7a) nights - No call; 3-5 consecutive shifts. 10-13 shifts per month
- Worksite Setting: Hospital / South Central Georgia
- Scope of Work: Rounds, admissions, consults for Pediatric ward, labor & delivery, newborn nursery; Average census for PEDS/newborns is low to mid-teens (12-17); MD will have 1-2 APP’s to assist daily, except Sunday. No NICU or PICU onsite; Level 2 center; Current model consists of 1 permanent HM PED MD and 2 APP’s. One APP works with the MD Mon, Tues, and Sat. 2 APP’s work with MD Wed, Thurs, and Fri. Day shifts available, but prefer candidates willing to cover the night call from hotel. Responsible for night admissions; MD to use their clinical judgement if they need to come in for admissions overnight, or wait until morning; For all direct PED admissions, the MD must come in after 7p; Avg census ranges from 9-27 patients per day – Standard is around 11 patients per day with APP assistance.
- Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Active GA license, Active DEA - must have GA address or be willing to change to GA address; Board Certified; Clean background,

- Credentialing: Can grant temp privileges w/ clean file
