Bon Secours Pediatrics of Mechanicsville and our mobile Care A Van ministry is seeking a dynamic, experienced board-certified Pediatrician for this exciting role. We’re combining the stability of an outpatient pediatric practice with an established panel, with our mission-based community medicine mobile Care A Van clinic in this full time position within our Richmond Medical Group.

  • Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Primary Care practice experience highly preferred – this is not an entry-level position.
  • U.S. med school training preferred and U.S. pediatric residency completion required
  • Must be authorized to work anywhere in the U.S.
  • Full time position – 36 clinical/4 hours admin per week
  • Manchester Clinic/Care A VanThe Bon Secours Manchester Clinic on Everett St in Richmond and Care-A-Van Mobile Health program serve Richmond’s uninsured populations by providing same-day and follow up primary and specialty care services to adults and children. Acting as a true safety-net clinic, care is provided free of cost. Along with addressing physical health needs, this team helps bridge gaps for families in need when it comes to issues of food insecurity, reduced cost referrals, financial assistance, health education, health insurance enrollment and more. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday shifts 8:30 am to 4:30 PM. Up to 19 patients per day age newborn to 21. The mobile Care a Van provides care at 3 church locations in North Chesterfield and Richmond.
  • Pediatrics of Mechanicsville – Wed/Fri 8:00-5:00 PM – this practice has Saturday hours 8:00-12:00 – Provider will join Saturday work rotation with other team providers, estimated 6 to 8 Saturdays annually.
  • Rotating Call coverage – shared by 10 providers in 3 practices – est. 2 to 3 days per month 5pm-8am averaging 2 to 4 calls per night
  • 20-25 patients per day
  • EPIC EMR
  • Virtual Health as needed via MyChart
  • No Procedures
  • Lactation Support is highly preferred, but not required
  • 1:1 CMA/LPN support
  • Full onsite lab at practice and Manchester clinic
  • Additional ancillary staff include a Nurse Navigator, Outreach Workers, and a part time LCSW.

Bon Secours W2 employed physicians have medical/dental/vision/Rx/FSA/life insurance/403b + matching%/short & long term disability, paid parental time off and company-funded supplemental executive retirement plan program. Our full time physicians have 35 days of annual allowed time off which is front-loaded-not accrued – along with a $10,000 annual CME allowance and $10,000 relocation reimbursement (taxable).
