Advance Community Healthcare, a FQHC, is expanding our services and we are recruiting a full-time Pediatric Physician who will provide services to our Raleigh, NC location. This role is 100% Direct Patient Care.

Pediatric clinicians at Advance Community Health are expected to provide quality acute and routine health care maintenance to patients in the first decades of life and serve as Advance’s experts in general pediatric medicine, growth and development monitoring and childhood immunization tracking.

Job Responsibilities

Primary duties include but not limited to:

- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of common pediatric medical problems and relevant therapies.

- Appropriately order and follow-up on routine health maintenance, such as immunizations, growth and development, developmental delays, nutritional needs, and childhood fitness.

- Demonstrate appropriate chronic disease management from a primary care standpoint.

- Demonstrate appropriate post-acute care of recently hospitalized patients.

- Accurately document clinical visits in the EHR and complete notes in a timely fashion.

- Involve social worker and ancillary staff, including nursing, care management, and medical assistants appropriately.

- Address patient calls and requests in a timely fashion, including requests from pharmacies, home health, etc.)

- Maintain CME/credentialing/licensure in compliance with state and board requirements.

- Appropriately communicates problems and concerns to Supervisors and/or Administration.

- Participates in regularly scheduled provider meetings and committees.

- Appropriately supervises midlevel providers (when applicable) including periodic chart review and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

- Physicians: A Medical degree and the successful completion of a residency or fellowship in pediatrics

- Advanced Practice Providers (APP): A degree attesting to successful completion of a program in Pediatric specialization for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physicians Assistants.

- A license and certification to practice pediatrics. APPs are expected to practice under the supervision (see separate policy) of a designated physician.

Working Hours

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00an – 5:00pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at this time)
