Pediatric Hospitalist opening in Sioux City, Iowa

Located on Tri-State border of Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota

Position Details: - Full-time, permanent position- Employed- Established practice- Competitive compensation and benefits package.

Pediatric Subspecialty Support: Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Infectious Disease, Neonatology.

- Other support: General Surgery, Orthopedics and many other subspecialties available for consultation-

- 12-bed pediatric inpatient unit with brand-new remodel- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on

- EMR - Epic

-Average daily census of 5-7 in summer and 7-10 in winter (combination of newborn nursery and inpatient)- Round on unassigned newborns in newborn nursery (no NICU or Level 2 nursery responsibilities), circumcisions, ED and direct admissions of pediatric age patients, ED consultation when requested. No delivery attendance required. High risk deliveries are attended by in house NICU.

- Tertiary hospitals located 90 miles North and South with visiting subspecialists

- In-house hours from 8 a.m. 4 pm (take call 7a-7p). Night NP covers 7p-7a.

- Flexibility in schedule exists within group
