Overview

Academic medical institution in Saginaw, MI – is looking for a full-time Pediatric Associate Program Director to join the Faculty team. This role includes resident and medical student education, as well as faculty clinic.

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed individual who is inspired to build a strong Pediatric Residency program. 50% Clinical / 50% Academic with protected time. Administrative duties as well as scholarly activities will be required including Research and Publishing.

The Program Director will spend much of their clinical time precepting residents in their combined ambulatory Pediatric Clinic/Hospital. The Program Director will also engage members of our community-based Pediatric Primary Care/Pediatric Specialist physicians to participate as didactic presenters and preceptors. Finally, the Program Director will be provided a faculty appointment from the School of Medicine and will lead the effort to attract medical student candidates from the undergraduate program.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • State of Michigan licensed or eligible
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Three years of teaching experience (required)
  • Leadership experience (preferred)
  • Controlled Substance license
  • Must meet credentialing criteria
