OPEN POSITION:
Physician - Pediatrician


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time or Part-Time
- No Evenings
- No Weekends
- No Holidays
- Limited On-Call (negotiable)


CLINIC HOURS:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm


COMPENSATION:
- $140+ per Hour, negotiable based on experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This community health center (FQHC) opened in 2011 and currently employs 20+ physicians across a variety of specialties - pediatrics, ob/gyn, infectious disease, orthopedics, behavioral health, podiatry, pain management - as well as full-scope primary care. They operate 4 clinic locations in the Lancaster area, with a robust support staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical and administrative team members. They are currently hiring new providers due to growth.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is a standard outpatient pediatric position in a community health clinic.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

- evaluation and treatment of patients
- develop care plans
- physical examinations
- well child exams
- order diagnostic tests
- prescribe and order medication
- preventive health maintenance
- assess acute needs
- manage chronic conditions
- review laboratory and other test results
- patient follow-up
- specialist referrals
- participate in care team, provider, and staff meetings

Pediatricians see an average of 25 to 30 patients per day, with the support of a dedicated clinical assistant. The volume can be adjusted as-needed, based on provider preference and patient demands.

The practice uses the Epic EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- California medical license
- DEA
- Board Certified or Eligible, Pediatrics
- no experience required
