Chair of Orthopedic Surgery - Northeast Florida Region (Jacksonville, FL)
The Chair of Orthopedic Surgery will lead the strategic growth and advancement of clinical excellence and academic pursuits of Nemours-Children's Health, Jacksonville. The Chair will continue to build a nationally recognized pediatric orthopedic program that is regarded as exceptional in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia and beyond.
• 280-bed freestanding children's hospital (Only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in Region)
• Multiple outreach clinics throughout Jacksonville metropolitan area with continuing expansion
• 36,000+ patient encounters in 2022
• 7-surgeon, 7-APP Group
• 1st and 2nd call covered by APP, residents, and fellows - very light call for surgeons
• Market leader in most subspecialty surgical categories including spine, trauma, and hip/joint deformity, among others - minimal competition in the region
• Trains Mayo Clinic and University of Florida residents
• Serving 1,000,000+ population with "explosive growth" trajectory
