Locum Tenens – Pediatric Pulmonologist
Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital (Adult Trauma Level IV)
Department: Pediatric Pulmonology
Willing to License: Yes (state license required)
Start Date: January 5, 2026
Contract Length: Ongoing (undetermined length)
Availability / Schedule
- Clinic Coverage: Monday–Friday, AM/PM
- Inpatient Coverage: As backup only if other pediatric pulmonologist is off (home call)
- Coverage Needed: 2 weeks per month
- Patient Load: ~20 patients/day when scheduled full-day clinic
- Practice Setting: Hospital-based
- Patient Population: Pediatric patients up to 21 years old
- EMR System: Cerner
- Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs)
- Read full PFTs and spirometry
- Perform or interpret bronchoscopies
- Medical Assistants
- Respiratory Therapist (Cystic Fibrosis Clinic)
- Social Worker
- CF Nurse/Coordinator
- Dietitian
- Board Certification: Required (Pediatrics)
- Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Ideal for candidates experienced in Pediatric Pulmonology and familiar with CF patient care
