Pediatric Pulmonology Locum Opportunity – Illinois. Willing to license. Paying $245.00/hr to $255.00/hr + per hour

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist for a 6-month locum assignment at a leading children's hospital in Illinois. This is a full-time role with a well-balanced split between inpatient and outpatient care, minimal call burden, and a collaborative, provider-friendly interview process.

• Balanced, High-Impact Schedule: You'll spend approximately 30 hours/week on inpatient consults (mostly post-PICU) and 10 hours/week in the outpatient clinic, caring for complex but rewarding pediatric cases in a 671-bed hospital. EMR is Epic, and support is strong.

Assignment Details:

• Start Date: ASAP (following credentialing, estimated 90–115 days from accepted offer)

• Contract Length: 6 months

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Shifts: Five 8-hour day shifts

• Call: 1 weeknight and 1 weekend required per month (rare callback)

• Coverage: Full-time (4 weeks/month, 40-hour workweek)

Patient Volume & Setting:

• Outpatient: 8–10 patients per day

• Inpatient Consults: 1–4 per day (post-PICU focus)

• Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient mix

• Patient Population: Pediatrics

• Hospital Bed Size: 671

• EMR: Epic

Requirements:

• Board Certification (ABP) in Pediatric Pulmonology

• Experience: Minimum 2 years

• License: Active Illinois or IMLC license (willing to license IMLC candidates)

• Certifications: BLS and PALS

• DEA & CSR: Required
