Division of Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary, and Pediatric Sleep Medicine is seeking to add a BE/BC pediatric pulmonologist to its team. Though not required, those with additional fellowship training and board eligibility/certification in pediatric sleep medicine are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in clinical pulmonology and have experience caring for patients with chronic and complex respiratory disorders such as cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease of prematurity, chronic asthma, general pediatric pulmonary disorders, congenital airway anomalies and pediatric sleep disorders. Competency in pediatric flexible fiber-optic bronchoscopy is essential as is a willingness to participate in graduate medical education. Clinical research initiatives will be fully supported by the Office of Human Research.

The Cystic Fibrosis and Pulmonary Centeris a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation accredited CF Center. With approximately 200 patients, the Division is comprised of a complete cystic fibrosis team including pediatric psychology, respiratory therapy, nutrition and social services specialists. Adult transition is seamlessly established under the direction of an adult CF specialist team. The CF Center participates in research trials identified through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutic Development Network (TDN). Additional specialty programs within the Division include multidisciplinary care of patients with neuromuscular diseases, a severe and chronic asthma clinic (rated among the nations top healthcare facilities for providing high quality pediatric asthma care) and a pediatric ambulatory sleep clinic offering PAP therapy in addition to a hospital-based, AASM-accredited pediatric sleep lab that studies over 600 patients per year. The Pulmonary Division performs flexible fiber optic bronchoscopy with new, state-of-the-art equipment.

This is a full-time employed position with the Division of Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary, and Pediatric Sleep Medicine.
