Locum Tenens Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - Surgery - Orthopedic
Location: IA.
Shift: M-F 8a-5p + On Call
Start Date: March 13 @ 0700
End Date: Ongoing (Required coverage: March 13 @ 0700 - March 24 @ 0700 and April 23 @ 0700 - April 28 @ 0700)
- Patient Population: Orthopedic surgical patients (adult population implied)
- Setting: Clinic, Inpatient, OR, ED Consults
- Responsibilities: Clinical care, surgical procedures, trauma/orthopedic call, inpatient rounding, follow-up clinic visits
- Required Procedures: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement; hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures; trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and related orthopedic procedures
- EMR System: Epic
- Support Staff: 4 Physicians, 7 APPs, nurses, cast techs, reception staff, surgery schedulers
- Days Per Month: As scheduled per coverage blocks
- On-Call/Weekends: Yes (24-hour call coverage)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified
- Clean Malpractice/Background (Self-Query NPDB required)
- Active IA License or Active IMLC
- Must be able to cover both required date blocks
