Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Setting: Hospital-based Orthopedic Surgery & Trauma Call
Responsibilities: Orthopedic surgical cases and hospital call coverage
Required Procedures: Hip nailing, fracture and dislocation treatment, amputations, deformities, bone and joint tumors, total joint replacement/revision (hip, knee, shoulder), arthroscopy, spinal surgery (with and without instrumentation)
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: Not specified
Days Per Month: Not specified
On-Call/Weekends: Yes (24-hour emergency call with callback; 2–4 gratis hours preferred for 24-hour rate)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified – Required
- Active Kentucky License (IMLC acceptable) – Required
- Active DEA – Required
- BLS Certification – Required
- General surgical and non-surgical orthopedic procedures – Required
- Hip/Knee replacement procedures – Required
- Arthroscopy – Required
- Hip/Knee repair or revision procedures – Required
- Clean Background – Required
- NPDB Self-Query report (dated within 30 days of presentation) – Required
