Join a small, well-supported rural community hospital for a short-term locum Orthopedic Surgery assignment. Provide 24/7 ED and inpatient consult coverage at a Level III trauma setting with OR support and a predictable call structure. ✨
Job Responsibilities
• 🩺 24/7 coverage of ED & inpatient orthopedic consultations
• 🏥 Full general orthopedics (higher-acuity cases transferred out)
• 🤝 Collaborate with OR staff and clinical teams
• 💻 Document care in Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• ✔️ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• ✔️ Active California medical license
• ✔️ Completed ACGME/AOA residency
• ✔️ Currently practicing (not right out of residency)
• ✔️ DEA (by credentialing) & CA fluoroscopy (by coverage dates)
• ✔️ NPDB self-query within 30 days
Working Hours
• ⏰ 24-hour call coverage (ED & inpatient)
• 📅 Coverage: Feb 13–15 (ending Feb 16 AM)
