Join a well-supported pediatric ophthalmology team in St. Louis, Missouri, covering a high-demand outpatient clinic and NICU rounding schedule. This is an excellent locums opportunity for a fellowship-trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist looking for consistent weekday coverage with minimal call volume, strong clinical support, and a structured schedule. If you are seeking a stable short-term assignment with an established team and Epic EMR, this is a fantastic fit.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform strabismus procedures as needed
• Round in NICU one day weekly
• Participate in on-call coverage for assigned schedule
• Review and sign off on orthoptics charts as needed
• Support continuity of care for pediatric eye patients
Qualifications
• Board Certified required
• Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship required
• Active license preferred (facility open to credentialing without specific license requirement listed)
• Comfortable with outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding
• Must be able to perform strabismus procedures (required)
Working Hours
• End Date: 09/01/2026
• Clinic 3 days/week
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:00a to 4:00p
• NICU rounding 1 day/week (flexible 8:00a to 12:00p)
• Friday option may be required depending on coverage needs
• Friday 7:00a to 2:00p
• Call: Wednesday beeper call
• Approx. 1 to 2 calls per week
• Patient Volume: Approx. 25 patients per shift
Skills
• Strabismus procedures required
• NICU rounding experience
• Strong outpatient clinic efficiency
• Ability to support pediatric eye specialty services
