Pediatric Nephrology Physician - St. Louis, Missouri

This locum tenens opportunity involves inpatient coverage, with the inclusion of outpatient hemodialysis as needed. The role requires one continuous Friday-to-Friday service week per month, which includes both daytime onsite coverage and 24/7 call duties.

• Overnight and after hours: Call from nearby hotel with a 1-hour response time

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care and consultation in pediatric nephrology
• Conduct renal biopsies, inpatient hemodialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, peritoneal dialysis, and plasmapheresis
• Handle nephrology admissions and consultations
• Collaborate with residents, students, nurse practitioners, and the renal team

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Nephrology
• Active Missouri state license preferred, will accept Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

Working Hours

• Continuous Friday-to-Friday service week with onsite days and 24/7 call
• Approximately 7 call shifts per month with a call volume of about 10 calls per day
• Onsite emergent care estimated around 20 hours per week
