### Locums | Pediatric Nephrology | Clinic + Call | Philadelphia, PA ### Why This Role

- Opportunity to work with an established pediatric specialty team and teaching environment ### Assignment Details
- Start Date: June 8, 2026
- End Date: Ongoing
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Commitment: Minimum 1 week per month (2 weeks preferred)
- Coverage Model: Monday 7:00 AM – following Monday 7:00 AM
- Outpatient Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- EMR: Epic
- Call Type: Beeper
- Call Response Time: 15 minutes ### Clinical Details
- Provide pediatric nephrology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Typical distribution: ~70% inpatient consults and rounds, ~30% outpatient clinic
- Manage pediatric kidney disease including complex renal disorders
- Perform and manage dialysis procedures including hemodialysis
- Outpatient clinic requirement of at least 5 patients per day
- Participate in resident teaching and supervision
- Support staff includes RN, MA team, and advanced practice provider support ### Procedures & Case Types
- Hemodialysis (required)
- Percutaneous renal biopsy (preferred)
- Peritoneal dialysis management (preferred)
- Evaluation and management of complex renal diseases including:
- Hemolytic-uremic syndrome
- Hepatorenal syndrome
- Bartter’s syndrome
- Fanconi syndrome
- Fabry disease
- Renal transplant patient management ### Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Nephrology
- Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC eligibility
- PALS required
- Ability to manage pediatric dialysis patients
- Experience with inpatient consultative nephrology preferred ### Compensation
- Rate: 24-hour rate requested (including 4 hours gratis)
