A nationally recognized pediatric healthcare system is seeking a Medical Director for its Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in Orlando. This is a full-time clinical faculty position (75% clinical, 25% administrative/research) focused on leading clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic program development.
Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Serve as Medical Director for the Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program, overseeing growth and multidisciplinary coordination.

Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive nephrology care, including dialysis (CKRT, PD, HD), plasmapheresis, and transplant management.

Academic Involvement: Faculty appointment with the UCF College of Medicine; involve yourself in the training of medical students, residents, and PA students.

Research & Collaboration: 25% protected time for research and leadership. Engage with national collaboratives such as NAPRTCS and NAKI.

Volume: Over 4,000 outpatient visits and 1,500 inpatient encounters annually.

Support Team: Join a team of three pediatric nephrologists supported by specialized nurses, dietitians, social workers, and business administrators.

Innovation: Programs include ambulatory BP monitoring, nephrology-driven telemedicine, and specialized clinics for Lupus/Vasculitis and kidney stones.
Qualifications

Education: M.D. or D.O. with fellowship training in Pediatric Nephrology.

Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Nephrology.

Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.

Experience: Demonstrated leadership in transplant care or academic medicine.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, first shift.
