Pediatric Nephrologist Needed in Austin, TX
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin, Texas is seeking an exceptional provider to serve as a Pediatric Nephrologist, within the highly respected Renal Division.
Opened February 2024, our new state of the art full-service hospital in Austin will increase access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Join the Texas Children’s team expanding our standard of care for families across the state. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing pediatric population of Austin Texas. Job Description Pediatric Nephrologist
  • Provide safe, timely, effective, and efficient inpatient and outpatient care at TCH Austin.
  • Role model ethical and professional behavior with every interaction.
  • Supervise and educate medical and nursing staff when appropriate in the care of nephrology patients.
  • Promote and practice evidence-based medicine (EBM).
  • Participate in quality improvement processes.
  • Facilitate communication with referring physicians and promote outreach strategies.
  • Serve on appropriate committees for clinical programs and strategic growth in community locations.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Be well versed in the setting(s) of NICU and ICU. Also, the latest research and innovations as it relates to renal replacement therapy for patients in the intensive care setting.
  • M.D. (or equivalent), ACGME Accredited Residency in Pediatrics, and Fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology. Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board or Board Eligibility.
