Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital a 295 bed regional facility is seeking a BC/BE General Pediatrician to join our Pediatric Hospitalist team to care for the smallest of our patients in a community hospital setting. Successful candidate would provide care in our newborn nursery and inpatient pediatric unit. The work schedule would be shared between two pediatric hospitalist each working every other week and providing coverage in house 8-5 daily and taking call from home in the evenings. Pediatric Hospitalist is not required to be present at deliveries unless requested by the OB. This is an employed opportunity through the University of Kentucky.
Ideal candidate would be a general pediatrician with the desire to take care of the newborn nursery and inpatient pediatric unit. In addition to taking care of the pediatric patients in our community the ideal candidate would participate in our Family Medicine Residency Program by precepting our resident and students on pediatric rotations.

- Newborn Nursery:
- 23 bed level I
- 8 bed level II care unit that focuses on supporting the neonate (birth through 28 days) through the transition into extra uterine life and facilitating the recovery of the newborns experiencing delivery complications.
- Nursing staff is NRP and STABLE certified
- Pediatric Services:
- 10 beds with all telemetry capability
- Nursing staff is certified in both PALS and ACLS
