Pediatric Hospitalist Opportunity – Idaho Falls, IdahoResponsibilities:

We are seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist to join a team of 2.5 full-time pediatric hospitalists and 2.5 pediatric intensivists at a highly regarded community hospital in southeast Idaho.

What You Can Expect:

This regional medical center draws patients from throughout Idaho, Western Wyoming, and Southern Montana.

  • Serve a diverse patient population within a 10-bed pediatric unit
  • Provide 24-hour coverage with an out-of-house shift model
  • Care for a high-risk and complex patient population across a large catchment area
  • Care for medical patients on the pediatric unit
  • Provide consultations for pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
  • Consult on surgical patients
  • Care for newborn infants who do not require NICU-level care
  • Collaborate with a regional children's hospital for transfers and highly acute cases

Established Support Network:

  • Pediatric physician staff include pediatric intensivists and neonatologists
  • Additional pediatric subspecialists in neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, surgery, and anesthesia
  • Support from child life specialists, pediatric nutritionists, and physical therapists

Additional Information:

  • 318-bed hospital
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • 6-bed PICU
  • 26-bed Level III NICU
  • Approximately 1,200 deliveries annually

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Board Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine preferred, but not required
  • Pediatric hospitalist experience preferred, but not required
