Available shifts include 24-hour call schedules, with responsibilities covering newborn rounds and high-risk delivery attendance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Daily rounds on newborns in the nursery
  • Provide coverage for any newborn and delivery needs
  • Conduct emergency department consultations
  • Possible admissions from the ED to the inpatient setting
  • Neonatal resuscitations and assistance with pediatric resuscitations, including potential airway management and venous access

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or BE within 5 years
  • Current state license and DEA certification
  • Prior privileges at a Joint Commission accredited hospital in two of the last four years
  • Orientation requirements as per facility needs

Working Hours

  • 24-hour on-call shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
  • Call coverage with 4 hours allotted daily for patient interactions or call-ins

Skills

  • Proficient with Cerner EMR
  • Experienced in neonatal/pediatric resuscitations and applicable procedures
  • Strong collaboration with nurses, OB/Gyn, Anesthesiologists, and ED Physicians
  • Ability to manage high-risk deliveries and emergency scenarios
