Job description

Job description This locum role provides 24-hour call coverage for newborn rounding, delivery attendance, ED pediatric consultations, and rare inpatient pediatric admissions. Setting includes L&D, nursery, and ED. EMR is Cerner. Average deliveries 25–35 per month. Required procedures include neonatal resuscitation, airway management, venous access, and applicable newborn care procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Round daily on newborns, attend high-risk or indicated deliveries, provide ED pediatric consultations, admit rare pediatric inpatients, respond to neonatal resuscitations, assist in pediatric resuscitations, and manage urgent newborn needs during call.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years; active state medical license required; DEA required during credentialing; malpractice coverage preferred; must meet availability for specific dates; must have held privileges at a Joint Commission–accredited hospital for 2 of the last 4 years.

Working Hours

24-hour call shifts (7 a.m. to 7 a.m.) with 4 gratis hours per shift. Coverage dates needed: January 1–3.
