Schedule/Availability Requirements:
24hr call 7a-7a
Jan 1-3
Setting: Family Birth Center (L&D, Nursery), Emergency Department, Inpatient
Duties: Round daily on newborns, Coverage for any newborn/delivery needs, ED consultations, Admit patients from the ED to the Inpatient setting (rare)
Required Procedures: Neonatal resuscitations and applicable procedures, Assist with Pediatric resuscitations in the ED and for Pediatrics admitted to the floor; this would include potential airway management, venous access, and other applicable procedures
EMR: Cerner
Support Staff: L&D nurses, OB/Gyn, Anesthesiologist, ED Physicians, Hospitalists, Tele-Intensivists
Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage, need to add to locum pool
Credentialing Information:
Requirements: the provider must have privileges at a Joint Commission (or equivalent) accredited hospital two of the last four years. Residency requirements below.

Billing enrollment - Is this position providing services in lieu of an existing enrolled provider for a period of 60 days or less? No
Additional Details / Questions Answered by Facility:
- Is there a NICU? What Level? We do not have a NICU
- Peds floor coverage, nursery or both? ER Consults? We do not have a peds dept so they would be on for nursery and ER consults
- 24 hour shifts: will it be call coverage or in house coverage? 24hr shift on call with 4 hours per day allotted to see patients or call ins
- Patients per day on peds floor vs. nursery? Nursery - Our current volume is 25-35 deliveries per month so depends on deliveries
- Attend deliveries? All? High risk? C-Sections? Attend high risk or concerned deliveries / RN and RT attend all deliveries
- Average number of deliveries per year? We are currently averaging 325-350 a year
- Procedures required? Circs required or preferred? Circs are usually completed in the office after discharge
