This position is based in a hospital in Lake Havasu City, AZ, known for its scenic beauty and vibrant community. The role includes a mix of outpatient clinic and call responsibilities, offering a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work alongside experienced local providers.

Key Details

  • Assignment Type: Locum Tenens
  • Setting: Inpatient
  • Start Date: ASAP - Ongoing
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Rotating call for approximately 10 days a month, including weekends.
  • Patient Population: Pediatric
  • Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ
  • Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient care to pediatric patients, primarily newborns.
  • Participate in a rotating call schedule, predominantly focused on newborn care.
  • Perform pediatric procedures such as non-invasive ventilation management, intubation, and circumcision, with opportunities to utilize and refine advanced skills.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • PALS certification required
  • Experience preferred in pediatric hospitalist care and related procedures

Working Hours

  • Fixed clinic hours on weekdays with rotating call responsibilities, including potential weekends.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric care, focusing on inpatient procedures and newborn care.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including support from medical assistants and office management.
  • Confidence in handling CLIA trauma level 3 events and working within a facility equipped with a comprehensive set of support services, including anesthesia, surgery, laboratory, and radiology.
